Chapter 5... Fenton Works

After Danny and Robert called it a night when they discovered the crinkle head girl, Danny invited Sam and Tucker, his best friends since childhood,
"I think we should help her?" Sam said. Sam was no older than Danny, however her dresscode indicates her gothic backround.
"How can we help her?" Tucker asked. Tucker the techno geek usually wears a red buret whenever he leaves home. His friends keep telling him to get rid of it but he insists on going to school in it. "If she is an alien from outer space, how would we help her? We have no medical knoledge with ourselves much less her."
"Tuck," Robert began. "If she really was an alien she wouldn't resemble a human in anyway. So we must be able to do something for her."
"Well at the very least I can help heal her wounds." Sam said. "Danny could you grab the first aid kit from my back-pack."
"Sure." Danny said as he began digging through Sam's back-pack. "Here ya go." Danny said handing Sam the kit.
Sam opened the kit and pulled out a plastic bag with purple berries.
"What's that?" Robert asked as Sam crushed the berries and began spreading the juices over Miral's wounds. "Remember the berries I got from Camp Eerie?" Sam asked.
Robert just blinked.
"This is before your time." Danny said. "It was at summer camp one year. Wolf paid a visit and he was hurt so Sam helped him heal his wounds with those same berries."
"Did it work?" Robert asked.
"I wouldn't have brought them if they didn't." Sam clarified.
"Sorry." Robert folded his arms. He looked down at the girl on the table and caught himself thinking what beautiful hair she had. There was something tantilizing about her ridges. They gave her the air of a girl with a nasty temper and be able to carry out her threats with terrorfying efficiancy. Luckily, he himself has a nasty temper too probably to match hers but something else about this girl tugged him closer to her, he couldn't put his finger on it and didn't notice it until Misha grabbed the collor of his green shirt from behind, yanking him up right.
"I know she's pretty, Robert." Sam said. "But could you not bend over and make yourself look like a pathetic school boy with a crush?"
Danny and Tucker contained their laughter as Misha let go of his collar. "Oh shut up." Robert said straightening out his shirt and catching eye of the clock. "Oh shit!" He raced out of the lab making the other teenagers glance att he clock.
"Oh shit is right!" Danny said. "We're gonna be late for school! C'mon guys!"
Danny and Robert retreated for the exit and had a means of transportation that Sam and Tucker lacked. "We'll walk." Tuck said.

Casper High was the high school the four went to in Amity Park. It was within walking distance but when the occasion called for it, like that day did, they could just fly to school thanks to their ghost powers. Robert on the other hand didn't have any ghost powers and didn't usually work with Danny and Misha. He managed to steal a suit from his father's lab at Axiom Labs simply called 'Wraith'. A combat suit meant for the Army to fight the Eugenics Wars but was converted to hunt ghosts in America for the Guys in White and also required a drug called 'Pheonix' to operate the suit. The drug was entirely experimental and initial tests at Axiom killed most of the subjects but Robert O'neil was more resiliant than the test subjects, and had more drive to survive just so he could avenge his cousin's death. The drug did kill O'neil, but he was only dead for a minute before he woke back up with enhanced abilities.
The three came up on the school and landed across the street in an alley. They changed back into their normal attire and started down the sidewalk. "We got to leave the house earlier." Robert said.
"Maybe you should get an alarm clock." Danny joked.
"I wake up every morning at five just to train, so I don't wanna hear it."
Danny held up his hands defencivly. "Okay, sorry." He said, aware of Robert's temper and of what he can do with it.
The two juniors were knocked out of the way by a larger student by the name of Dash Baxter. "Outta the way, losers!" He said.
Robert stumbled over and glared at Dash with gritted teeth and clenched fists. "Call me a loser to my face, dumb shit!" He barked.
Dash stopped in his tracks and saw the scowl on Robert's face. After what happened during their last encounter, Dash was afraid of the new kid and ran off squelling like a little girl.
"Wow." Danny said. "Barely your first month here, and you already have Dash crapping his pants." Danny referred to the weird way Dash was running. "Not even Sam made that kind of progress." Danny said. "Well done, sir." He applauded.
"Thank you, ladies and men folk." Robert bowed to his audience as he clapped.

"So as long as the angles measure up to one-hundred eighty degrees, the angles will be supplimentary." Mr. Maxwell said. A recently new teacher at Casper High.
Robert was in the middle of taking notes but stopped and looked up feeling a slight sting behind his eyes. He groaned and pinched his eyes.
"You okay, O'neil?" Maxwell asked.
"Yeah, yeah." Robert nodded. "Just a slight headache."
"Okay."
Maxwell went back to teaching the class and Robert once again felt a tug in his chest, the same tug he felt when the Delta Flyer crashed and his hands started shaking.
"Psst," Tucker went. "Dude, you okay?"
"I uh... I don't know." Robert said lifting his hand. He couldn't stop it from shaking.
"Robert," Maxwell started. "Maybe you should go the nurse."
Robert just nodded and left the room. He shut the door behind him and leaned on the locker holding onto his wrist. His stopped shaking. He already had an idea that the only way to stop this tugging feeling was to follow it.
Robert looked down one hallway and down the other to make sure he was alone, and he was. He sighed in relief and headed for the guys locker room. He waited for the jocks to leave and entered by himself. He dropped his back-pack zipped it open. He unbuttoned his shirt and underneath was his ghost hunting suit. He changed into his black on white suit and stuffed his regular clothes into his back-pack. He caught himself in the mirror. "Huh," He went. "I had no idea it was so tight." The suit took a punch like kevlar, yet it appeared skin tight like spandex, and felt like a pair of pajamas.
Robert snuck out the back door and tapped his heels together, allowing a snowboard shaped device appear in a curtain of red shimmering light right under his feet. He tapped a small button behind his ear and single red glowing lense extended out in front of his left eye. He stepped onto the board as it rose above the school with his back-pack slung over his shoulder and flew off over the school to Fenton Works.

Back at Fenton Works, when Jack and Maddie were going over the girl's bloodwork. "I'm telling you Jack, her DNA is not human." Maddie argued massaging her neck.
"Just look at the base pair sequence they're human." Jack countered.
"Not these last two chromesomes down here, they're not." the bell rang breaking the tense mood between Maddie and Jack.
"I'll get it!" Jack said racing for the door.
The door swung open in front of Robert. "Oh, hi Mr. Fenton." Robert said.
"What can I do ya for, Robert?" Jack asked.
"Is that girl still down in the lab?"

Down in the lab, Miral opened her eyes and frantically looked about the room. It was big, metel plated and had a large circuler deivce at one end of the room, sealed off by a heavy metel black and yellow door. The tech used in the room was premititive by her standards, but the applications they seemed to be put to were way beyond anything Voyager had, or the Federation of the future for that matter. When she came across a tray of scalpals, she gasped and was afraid that who ever brought her here would discect her molecule by molecule. She hopped off the table and grabbed a scalpal, hid it behind her back and layed back down to the table as Robert came walking down the stairs.
Robert told Jack that he just wanted to check on her, but his concern with the girl was far deeper than that. Robert discovered that it the girl he was being drawn to, and wheather the girl was aware of his presence or not, she knew that the tugging sensation was gone.
Robert was about brush a stray hair from her face, but was met with Miral's scowl instead as she snapped her hand onto his throat like a viper attacking. She held the scalpal to his neck. She held him there surprised to see that he was human and Robert saw the surprise in her eyes. "Well either choke me or cut my throat." Robert said, keeping a level head. "Make up your mind."
Miral kept her cool and asked in a cool calm voice. "Where am I?" she asked.
Robert's eyes widened at the fact that she spoke English. An alien girl, speaking english. Who'd a thunk it? "You're in..." Miral tightened her grip. "In bed holding a knife at a visiter's throat. Now I'm not sure how they do it on your planet but us earthlings try being a little gracious about it." Robert smiled.
"Where am I?" Miral stressed.
"It would be most effective if you cut the corarted artery right behind my left ear." Robert said. "But of course that would leave a bloody mess and I won't be able to clean it up, leaving you to take the blame."
Miral sighed and closed her eyes allowing Robert to take the scalpal from her hand and place it back on the tray. Miral layed back and smiled. "You got some cojonas." She complimented.
"Thank you." Robert said. "It takes a while for them to develope."
Miral layed back and rested her hand behind her head. "You gonna answer my question or not?" She asked.
Robert nodded and smirked. "You're persistant, aren't you?" He said.
"Good things come of it in my experience."
Robert chuckled. "You're in the Fenton Works lab in Amity Park, Illinois."
"And who might you be?" Miral asked.
"Ladies first."
"Age before beauty."
Robert nodded. "Hmm, alright." He said. "My name's Robert O'neil."
"Miral Paris."
"Miral Paris?" Robert repeated. "That's a human name."
"So am I." Miral replied.
Robert nodded and believed she was entirely human. "Well, we figured that an accident at Axiom Labs caused..." Robert brushed his hand all around his forehead.
"Yeah." Miral said. "It's uh... heriditary. My mother used to work at Axiom Labs before she met my Dad. They took the plunge and had me."
"And I suppose your parents had something to do with the uh..." Robert scratched the back of his head. "What was it called again? The Delta Flyer?"
Miral nodded. "My parents built it with their bare hands."
"And from the tech I've seen on that..." Robert lifted his hands as if to represent the Flyer. "Ship thing, I'd say that was built using Axiom Labs tech, but because of the numbers on the side of its hull, I'd say there's an even bigger one in orbit." Robert said. "Is that where you came from? The Voyager?"
Robert reffering to Voyager by its name almost scared Miral. What the hell was she supposed to tell him? That the government has a secret space ship in orbit? "I can't say any more." Miral said. "I've already told you too much."
"Okay then." Robert said. "Let's change the subject to something you can tell me about. I suppose your mother has similar ridges?" Robert inquired.
Miral sighed a breath of releif. "Mm-hmm." She went. "These ridges have made me something of a freak to everyone I've met."
"I don't think you're a freak." Robert said, getting Miral's attention. "I think the ridges are something that distinguishes you from the rest. Something this world desperatly needs, a new face. Besides, they probably give you an advantage the rest of us lack."
Miral sat up in the bed. "Hey, uh, is there anyone I can talk to?" she asked.
Robert shrugged. "My friend's parents are upstairs." He said. "This is their lab and you, my dear, are their guest." Miral sank back into the bed. "Trust me, Miral," Robert said taking one of Miral's hands. "You're in good hands."
"Your hands?" Miral asked with a raised eyebrow. "I certaily hope so."
Robert smiled. 'I like this girl already.' He thought.
