Shattered Reality ch-1

Chapter 1... "Surprise!"

     As the day rolled on in Amity Park, one lone little ship flew through the vast ghost zone back to the portal with one Robert Slezak at the wheel. Danny was the one who decided recording trips into the ghost zone would be a good idea and Robert agreed. He pressed the record button on the CD player. "November 30th, 2012," he began. "I'm returning to Amity Park after a Mixed MArtial Arts tornement in the Ancient Roman area of the ghost zone. Dan thought I need to blow off some steam after last weeks screw-up and he was right and if I didn't know better, I'd guess that my frusteration gave me an edge in the matches." He grabs a trophy and holds it in his lap. "I won first place. Go figure, it's not that surprising to me but I'm still proud of it."

     After the Spectre Speeder arrived, Jazz was escorting Robert back to his house walking down the side walk of Rodenberry street. "Looks like Skulker's back." Jazz informed. "We had a little run-in with him while you were gone, but Danny wasn't the target this time, he was actually looking for..." JAzz notices Robert seems distracted. "Hey!" She said catching Robert's attention. "You listening to me?" she asked.
    "Hmm? Oh yeah!" Robert said. "Skulker's back but Dan wasn't the target." Robert confirmed. "Who was the target any way?" he asked.
     "You."
     "Me?"
     "You okay?" JAzz inquired. "You seem a little tence for a guy who came back from vacation."
     Robert frowned grimly. "Todays my seventeenth birthday." Robert coughed as he opened the door and looked around as was follow by Jazz.
     "What's the matter with you?"
     Robert sighed. "Because its my birthday I assumed you and the others would've got together to surprise me."
     "A surprise birthday party?!" JAzz asked shocked. "Robert I hate surprises. I would never do that to ya!"
     Robert was one those people who could smell a lie a mile away, and could tell Jazz was lying but decided to play along. "Mm-hmm." He said.
     "Once you settle in, we're gonna need ya in the lab." Jazz said.
     "Alright, see ya." Robert found an empty place on the mantle of his fireplace and put his trophy in that empty spot. Then he backed off to see how it looked and sighed with pride. Then he took off his jacket and through it on the couch and headed for the kitchen. But not evewn his ghost sense could protect him from what was about to happen.
     "SURPRISE!!!"
     Robert jumped and made what sounded like a "Yipe!" then sighed again as he turned around and faced the group when Jazz came in the back door. "I love surprise parties!"
