Robert Wraith ch-1

Chapter 1... Back to School / "Jump!"

     The scene starts at the airport where we see Robert Slezak a 14-year-old boy with bone-straight brown hair and muddy brown eyes wearing a blue and white plad over shirt with rolled up sleeves and dar blue jeans and a belt chain with hiking boots carrying a back-pack with his dad. Kenn, a 43-year-old man in a yellow Ray Pittman Project t-shirt with neat black hair and brown eyes with black jeans and shoes and has sunglasses hanging from the collar of his shirt. We also see Robert's sister Jordan, an 6-year-old girl with long black hair and brown eyes wearing a pink t-shirt with an orange mini-skirt and sandels.

Robert voiceover: Two years ago, I left Virginia to head back to Florida where I live. The summer just flew by so fast it sucked that I had to go so soon, but I guess this isn't where the craziness started but as long as I'm tellin' you this part of the story...
Kenn: Well, here's your gate.
Robert: Yup.
Woman on PA: Now bordering flight 567. Non-stop service to Tampa.
Kenn: Well you'd better get going if you wanna see your friends again.
Robert: I guess.
Robert and his dad join in a little man-hug.
Kenn: Take it easy numb-nuts.
Robert: You too, teabag.
Jordan: Hey. What about me?
Robert: Sorry kid. (hugs his little sister) See ya next year.
Jordan: I'll miss you big brother.
Kenn: Alright Jordan, your brother needs to get on the plane.
Robert: (lets her go and starts for the gate) See ya.
Kenn: Bye. We'll miss you.
Robert: No you won't.
Kenn: Maybe.
Robert: (chuckles and gets on the plane waving)
The scene cuts to when the plane's airborn and robert pulls out his cell-phone and dials Marisa.
Robert voiceover: There's another part to this story, there's the girl, my best friend Marisa, at least she was when this happened. She was the one girl that I felt too much of a pussy to tell her how I felt about her, if only she knew back then.
Marisa: (over the phone) Hello?
Robert: Hiya.
Marisa: Hey. What's up?
Robert: The sun's up,
Marisa: (laughs)
Robert: and so's the plane I'm in.
Marisa: So you're on your way back?
Robert: Yeah. So what's up with you?
Marisa: The usual: babysitting little brothers and baby sisters.
Robert: Sounds like fun.
Marisa: Oh I got goos news.
Robert: Really?
Marisa: I begged my parents to let me go back to MSA and I'm comin' back too.
Robert: Really? That's great! It'll give us and Will more time to hang out.
Marisa: Yeah. (we hear a baby crying in the backround) Oh crap. I gotta go.
Robert: Alright see ya next week Marisa.
Marisa: You too.
Robert: I'll call you back when I land.
Marisa: Okay. Bye.
Robert: Bye. (hangs up and puts on his earphones from his new iPod and plays "Jump" simple plan.

                                                      JUMP!

And we hear it too as the plane pulls away from the camera and the scene dissolves to MSA one week later where we see several busses pulling up to the front door.
                                  
                                     I don't wanna wake up today
                                        cuz everthing's the same

We see Robert in his school uniform, a navy blue polo shirt with his dark blue jeans and his same hiking boots with the iPod phones in his ears sleeping and hen the bus comes to a stop he wakes up.

                                            I've been waiting so
                                            for things to change

Robert gets out of his seat and follows the other students out of the bus onto the concrete infront of the school looking at the sign that says: "Live the arts" and he thinks same old school.
Robert voiceover: Here's me at my school, it used to be a bowling alley, hard to beleive huh?

                                           I'm sick of this town
                                             I'm sick of my job

He looks into his wallet and sees that he has no luch money.

                               I'm sick of my friends cuz everyone's jaded

Robert passes by an african american man with a shaved hairdo and five o'clock shadow with dark brown eyes in a similar uniform.
Robert: Hey Mr. Wilson!
Mr. Wilson: Tuck in that shirt Mr. Slezak.
Robert: (does so showing his Chevrolet belt buckle)
Robert voiceover: Mr. Wilson is actually a real nice guy when you don't violate the rules.

                                             I'm sick of this place
                                              I wanna break free.

Robert walks through the glass doors,

                                             I'm so frusterated!

We see him walk through the doors to see a large desk with neon lights on the ceiling.

                                             I just wanna jump!
                                                      (jump!)

The camera turns to let us see his face and he looks as if he's saying: "Here we go again."

                                      Don't wanna think tomorrow
                                                      (jump!)

He walks through the hallway looking for his locker with people getting in his way.

                                        I just don't care tonight,
                                            I just wanna jump!
                                                     (jump!)

He finds his locker and tries to open it but fails and he bangs his head on the metel.

                                  Don't wanna think about my sorrow.

He finally opens it and stuffs his Tae Kwon Do cloths in there then shuts the locker and walks out of the hallway into the cafeteiria and into another hallway and finds his homeroom.

                                                 Let's go, whoa....
                                                 forget tomorrow
                                               I just wanna jump!
                                                       (jump!)

We see a man with grayish hair and a goatee wearing a light blue overshirt and eyeglasses with jeans and sneakers getting his papers together when he notices Robert.

                                               I just wanna jump!
                                                       (jump!)

Mr. Germanio: (pulls out Robert's earphones and the music stops) No MP3s.
Robert voiceover: My homeroom teacher for 11th grade, plus my driver's ed teacher. He's the most eccentric teacher I've ever known. Actually he's the only eccentric teacher I know. But it comes to following rules he come to be a bit annoying.
Robert: (takes his seat) Yep, back to school.

                                                I just wanna jump!
